This King James was gifted to me by a customer that said he wanted me to have it in order to rebind and sell. I removed the original bonded leather cover and thought that this classic two-column KJV needed a cover that would equal its majesty.

The feel of this rustic goatskin was simply amazing. The natural grain seen especially on the back cover, shows the richness of the color. It is very soft but not flimsy. The lambskin liner was a heavier weight than a typical lambskin which adds to its luxuriousness and feel.

This Bible was also one of my first attempts at art gilting. It had gold edges, so applying a red stain that the cover seemed a good choice, and it did turn out beautifully.
